A brief description of each award:
Resiliency Award
Presented to an individual who has demonstrated the ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from difficult life events by tapping into strengths to overcome challenges. Nominations should reflect how the individual remained resilient for themselves, their organization, and their clients/patients especially during the challenges of 2020 such as the pandemic and social unrest.
Kindness Counts Award
Presented to an individual who chooses to make kindness a way of life. Whether by expressing care, empathy, consideration for others, or lending a hand when someone is in need, nominees lead by example and show kindness to all.
Cultural Sensitivity Award
Presented to an individual who has the ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures, along with developing positive attitudes towards cultural differences. Cultures include, but are not limited to, race, gender, sexuality, social economic status, religion, and country of origin.
